Alexandros Yiorkadjis (b. 1981) lives and works in Bologna. He first attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia before concluding his studies at the Fine Arts Academy in Bologna. He also attended, for a year, the Fine Arts Academy in Marseille (France) through the Erasmus programme. In 2008, he won the first prize in sculpture at the National Arts Awards in Italy. He participated in various solo and group exhibitions around Italy and Europe. The sculpture he presented in his degree show (2011), was selected and exhibited in a parallel exhibition at the Venice Biennale (Arsenale) where it represented the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna.
