Sotiris Kallis

Soteris Kallis (b. 1980) lives and works in Cyprus and New York.
He studied Women’s Wear Fashion at Central St. Martins in the UK for a year. In 2000 he decided to pursue a career in fashion design in order to gain practical experience in the fashion world. Until 2011 he worked as a creative designer and creative consultant for famous fashion houses in Europe and the U.S.A. such as Erotokritos in Paris, Angelos Frentzos in Greece, Emilio de la Morena in London, Dennis Basso and Petrou/Man in New York. In 2010 he exhibited at the Young Collector Show, at OCHI Gallery, Idiho Sun Valley, U.S.A. With his return to Cyprus in 2011 he decided to concentrate on his work as an artist and soon enough he started taking part in group shows such as Reveries of Will, at Vamiali’s Gallery, Athens (2011) and Drawing Room at Omikron Gallery, Nicosia (2011). In February 2012 he had his first solo show entitled The Thirteen Disciples…A visual assault on logic, at Omikron Gallery and participated at UTOPIA, Evagoras Lanitis Centre, Limassol (2012).
