Casts of an Island
is a contemporary art exhibition on the tragic occasion of the 50th anniversary from the Turkish invasion (1974-2024).
As part of his preparation, Nicos Pattichis, collector and curator, forged a prelude to the event, utilising another occasion: the celebration of 70 years of CiC Mercedes-Benz in Cyprus. Pattichis will present 25 works, mainly from his private collection, importantly so a selection that defined art in the country over the past 20 years, marking the historical period following the opening of checkpoints to and from the occupied territories in 2004.
