Eleni Nicodemou (b.1955 in Alona, Cyprus). She lives and works in Nicosia. She studied Economics Sciences in Athens and she also studied painting and engraving at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. In 1981-84 the artist stayed and worked at the Cité Internationale des Arts, won Scholarships from the French Government in 1981-83 and 1987-88; Leventis Foundation, 1985-86; EOMEX,1980. In 1986 she received the 1st Prize, Matisse Competition, French Embassy, Nicosia. She presented her work at Glosia Gallery, Nicosia (2012 and 2010), Gallery 2016, Hauterive, Neuchatel, Switzerland (1997), Alexandria Biennale (1994), Gallery Y Grego, Lisbon, Portugal (1990), International Engraving Biennale / 2nd Biennale of Young artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, Thessaloniki(1986), International Biennale of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana (1987 and 1985) and 6th Gravure Biennale, Mulhouse (1984).
